The Activo med Leg Wrap system uses pulsed electro-magnetic therapy. The Leg Wrap system can be purchased with the Combi/Classic system (as featured in photograph) or purchased separately.
Pulsed electro-magnetic field therapy (PEMF) is attracting increasing attention in the fields of medical science and equestrian sport.
This type of therapy has been used successfully in equestrian sports, and may assist in increasing the performance of the sport's horses in training and competition.
Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy - leg wraps
The four magnetic spools work in conformity to the natural flow of the blood and lymph lines in the legs. They are activated in the sequence 1-2-3-4 (see above picture). This is important for the lymph drainage of the legs' lymph lines. The leg wraps are fixed on like normal leg wraps and cover in length - the sensitive part - from the hoof up to the carpal joint. The easy and flexible handling offers a wide spectrum of treatment.
The high quality materials are designed for use within the stable or outdoor during competition in all weather conditions. The leg wraps are fitted round the leg with full elastic velcro. They are able to stretch up to 30% from their original length.
