Aquatrainer
The Aquatrainer is the latest product from the Horse Gym 2000 range. It allows horses to work on a treadmill whilst in up to 1.2m of water. This is useful for both fitness and rehabilitation purposes as it resistance from the underwater treadmill greatly improves muscle development.
The water level can be increased by 10cm increments to suit the fitness and conformation of the horse. This can be manually adjusted throughout a session to create a resistance training program, whilst at the same time altering the speed of the treadmill. Alternatively the Aquatrainer can be used without water, offering all the benefits of a standard treadmill.
Safety is of utmost importance and the electric light barrier ensures that if the horse falls the belt is immediately stopped and the water begins to empty.
What makes the Aquatrainer unique?
The main differentiating factor for the Aquatrainer is its unique filtering system. The low maintenance, high powered filter immediately removes all impurities from the water allowing it to be re-used again and again. Water quality and level is visible externally so this can be monitored at all times. Optional extras, the UF-filtration system and the chemical sterilisation system provide increased water purity. The UF system is recommended for larger yards as it completely cleans and sterilises the water within minutes.
There are three models of Aquatrainer to choose from. Each machine is built specifically for the customer so can be customised according to individual needs. The standard specification for all models is:

Aquatrainer W1
The W1 is the basic model with a water level of up to 1m. It has one rear door which means the horse has to walk in and reverse out.

The W2 offers the same benefits as the W1, with a water level of up to 1m, but is has a front and back door allowing the horse to easily exit the treadmill.

The W3 has a large reservoir with a water level of up to 1.2m. This is ideal for larger horses and provides more resistance requiring greater lift from the legs.
