About Gloucestershire
The County of Gloucestershire covers an area of 1,025 square miles, including the largest areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England. Geographically, it is split into three areas, the Cotswold, the Royal Forest of Dean and Severn Vale.
Cheltenham and Gloucester lie at the heart of the county on either side of the M5 and linked by the A40. There are good connections to London and the south-east using the M4, and to the south-west via the M5. Motorway links to the north are via the M5/M6 and M42 and into Wales using the A40 and M4.
